  1. P-47 GROUND ATTACK TRAINING

  3. The P-47 Thunderbolt was an aircraft
  4. that excelled at both roles for which
  5. it was designed.  As a dogfighter, few
  6. enemies could master it.  And as a
  7. ground support/attack machine, the
  8. Jug's eight .50's packed a mean punch.  
  9. The P-47 was ideally suited for the 
  10. fighter/bomber role because of its large 
  11. ordnance capacity and ability to sustain 
  12. heavy damage and keep flying.

  14.                     YOUR MISSION
  15.  
  16. Your P-47 is lined up with the Luftwaffe 
  17. airfield at St. Omar.  Use the Thunder-
  18. bolt's eight .50-caliber machine guns 
  19. and the two 1000 lb. bombs mounted under 
  20. the wings to destroy as much of this 
  21. German airfield as you can (including 
  22. the four Bf 109s on the ground there).

  24. Your P-47 has unlimited ammunition, 
  25. including bombs.
